Vice President, SA Recycling

Bobby Triesch joined Newell Recycling of Atlanta, Inc. in 2003 as Vice President – Director of Ferrous Operations. In this position, he oversaw all aspects of the company’s operations, including three Mega Automobile Shredders, eddy current & sensor plants, iron yard cutting and shearing, maintenance and all research & development activities.

In 2016, SA Recycling acquired 50% of Newell, and in 2017 acquired the balance of the business. The Georgia Region of SA Recycling currently operates the 20 facilities, and Bobby is the Vice President & Regional General Manager of this business. SA Recycling is a full-service ferrous and non-ferrous metal recycler and processor. Recognized as an industry leader in metal recycling, SA operates approx. 130 recycling facilities located throughout California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Missouri.

Bobby majored in Industrial Engineering (1984-88) at Texas A & M University. He remains very involved in the recycling industry, having served in many positions at the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, Inc. (ISRI), which is the Recycling industries trade association, including as Chairman of the Ferrous Division (2002-2004), Chairman of the Shredder Committee (1998-2002) and on the National Board of Directors (2002-2006). Bobby is active in the Atlanta community helping charities, communities and groups in need.

Bobby is currently the President of the Georgia Recyclers Association.
